Found images and articles were used to design the layout, and segments of an interview with the artist were included to shed more light on the situation’s effects on those both inside and outside of the GTA. This restaurant consisted of a fully flushed out design system complete with logos and brand applications. Deliverables were a set of ice cream flavours, chocolates, and signage. A full brand was created for this project. The goal was to brand the magazine as something that anyone interested in tattoos can pick up and read. Original images and found articles were used to formulate the layout. This magazine covers things tattoo related, it is a cultural, historical, modern, and inspirational collection that would be produced quarterly. The idiom “Speak of the Devil and they shall appear” and this rendition created is commentary about how everyone has an inner devil or demon and they should acknowledge it, not succumb to it. Leaning into the historical design aspects of wooden boxes, hand lettered script, and stamped fonts allowed for a vintage feel.
